Coaching Niches

Where to dig

A niche is a seam, not a label. Some are at the surface and worked by everyone. Some are deep, hard to reach, and pay several times more for the same hour. The question is never which niche is best. It is which seam you can actually reach with what you already have.

What each seam pays

Ordered by typical annual income. The gap between the top and the bottom is roughly two to one, and it is almost entirely explained by who signs the cheque: an employer or an individual.

Three niches carry no income row: ADHD and neurodivergent coaching, women’s health, and specialist practice generally. No published study breaks them out yet, which is itself the signal — they are new enough that the surveys have not caught up.

The seams nobody has worked

Crowding matters more than most niche advice admits. A moderately paid niche with almost no competition is usually a better place to start than a well-paid one where you are the thousandth entrant this year.
